Jeremiah Denning Professor of Live Sound
With 25 years of experience as a professional live sound engineer, Jeremiah Denning has built a diverse career that spans thousands of live events across North America and Europe. From concerts and theater productions to corporate events and houses of worship, his expertise covers all facets of the live sound industry, including system design, integration, and live mixing. Based in Lubbock, Texas, Jeremiah’s career has taken him from his hometown of Seattle to Chicago and eventually to West Texas, where he has spent the better part of two decades. Throughout his career, Jeremiah has run sound for three presidents, countless Grammy winners, and artists ranging from 50 Cent to George Strait.
In 2004 and 2005, Jeremiah co-wrote the curriculum for South Plains College’s Live Sound program with professor Matt Quick, which became the first accredited live sound curriculum in Texas and one of the first in the nation. Since then, the program has become a leader in its field and a well-respected name on the national landscape. Industry giants regularly reach out to Professor Denning to consult and collaborate on the program at SPC, and seeking qualified graduates for projects and positions. The SPC Live Sound program has graduates working with some of the biggest names in the industry, including U2, Blake Shelton, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Barbara Streisand, Roger Waters, Deadmau5, Daft Punk, and many more.
