RADER, as he’s known in the business has been the Central & Southwest US territorial agent @ WME for 26+ years. Starting in regional rock & country bands in Texas in the 1980’s, he soon progressed into sound engineer in both live concert & studio situations in late 1980’s to early ‘90’s.
Graduate of South Plains College (1988) Commercial School of Music and awarded the Outstanding Sound Technology student his final year @ SPC.
Graduate of Middle Tennessee State University’s – RIM (recording industry management) program, started in 1991 with Triad Artists. Promoted to club agent with the William Morris Agency / Triad’s merger (1992) and a year later to territorial agent.
Has held his current territorial position @ WME since 1993 to present. Handles routing major Country headline tours in arenas / amphitheaters in the Southwest US, is also responsible for Country and Adult Contemporary clients in theatres and casinos. Because of his Texas roots, helps direct the Texas / Red Dirt portion of the Nashville roster. Has helped direct the careers of Blake Shelton, Willie Nelson, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Gary Allan, Casey Donahew, and numerous other acts @ WME. Additionally, he works in conjunction with the Professional Bull Riders (PBR), now part of WME / IMG.
IEBA’s New Agent of the year (1997), has been nominated for numerous CMA – SRO and Pollstar 3rd Coast Agent of the year awards.
Member of the CMA, ACM, IEBA, and serves on the Southeast/Nashville Board of the T.J. Martell Foundation and Student Advisory Board of South Plains College in West Texas.
